Where people see things and objects, Jovi sees meanings and subjects. New Bell Music boss Jovi a.k.a Le Monstre has drop the official video of “Ou Même” directed by the company’s director Ndukong of February 16th Films and co-directed by Tatapong Beyala.
Very artistic and having a unique taste, the video almost like LA SAUCE of Reniss, exposes our minds to the million dollar question we have been disturbing our minds with. Why Jovi’s video are always with youths and full with disorder? Jovi tells us in his 4:47 minutes video that all his videos are always taking place in bars and the location permits him to be a script writer of many songs we hear everyday.
Another thing one wouldn’t notice separately from the costume and a location of the video, is the ideology employed in the whole video and the song as whole. Jovi is the first Cameroonian rapper that from his premiere hit, DON 4 KWAT ,embarked on a journey of creating an Africa having an identity, an originality of its own brand of music. Like CA$H, Ou Même also comes with same ancestral voices (yells) to give to the world it originality – same ancestral voices we heard in LA SAUCE by Reniss. In every song produced by Jovi having such feeling, we talk of a buzz.
Instrumentally, Jovi dreams of creating an Africans trademark in the world of Hip-hop, that every Africa hip-hop will tap it root from, is gradually becoming a reality. SHINE THE LIGHT by African Music ambassador, Akon, witnessed same kicks and plugins in the beats. LA SAUCE of Reniss, and many other top topnotch hits produced by Jovi are having almost the same musical groove.
The Idea, Location, costume, scenography, choreography… seems JOVI thinks 7 times ahead of every producer and artist in Cameroon.
