Bamenda based fashion designer, Amah Bertrand, last weekend left a trademark during the FIAFA 2018 that took place in Buea from the 4th – 5th May. known for doing what he does best, the designer beautified the event with more 30 pieces of outfits on the runaway- both men and women.
Amah Bertrand had not only been able design with beautiful fabrics to look stunning but has also been able to blend his cultures. As a Cameroonian and a Nigerian, he is known to be one of the first designers to transform the north west toghu into a world standard outfit suitable for everyone, whether Cameroonian or not. His designs don’t only tell you who you are wearing but where the idea is coming from and the culture of the people you are wearing.
During his last trip to Dubai, he was fortunate to meet with Nigeria’s social media influencer and entrepreneur, HushPuppi, and rumor later had it that, Amah will design for him. HushPuppi has never put on an African fabric and if the rumor tends out to be true, Amah will be the first African to costume Hushpuppi.
